My Work:

Break Bonds:
4 Mole H-H Bonds 4*104.2= 416.8
2 Mole O-O Bonds 2*118.3= 236.6

Create Bonds:
4 H-O Bonds 4*110.6=-442.4

+653.4
-442.4

Heat Of Formation= +211 kcal/mole.

Yes just like the other 2 threads about lip syncing and playing air instruments that you never responded too? You really seem to be doing a stellar job. Look if you want to learn you have to actually figure it out, get help from someone in person not on a forum. Ask your teacher, they can explain it better. But please stop posting stupid threads.

I only took chem 1 in college and never got do doing things like this. BTW, why are the h-h bonds breaking? Shouldn't they be absorbing the spare O molecules?

I think what pwned is trying to say in his own inimitable fashion is that you need to find another outlet for school related angst and problems. This is a gw forum, the off topic. While we love funny/silly/absurd and occasionally gross crap, we aren't your study group k?

The problem is that the problem in question still remains unsolvable. I have this problem on multiple forums, and still everyone remains stumped. Even Chemistry-related forums, where people have degrees in this are stumped. So when no one in the world is able to solve a problem, I posted it here in hopes that someone here could solve it.

Huh? CHemiSTRY??? ---last time I was in a class about chemistry I was 13--junior high school, and I was completely happy with the C I got when the class was over.....now if my mom was still working maybe she might be able to get her mind around that (she has a degree in organic chemistry as did my dad, but he past many years ago).....
